Through and Hopsing collided soon after the start. Atlas Anonymous, Garbutt and Fiorelli Mia collided soon after the start checking Fiorelli Mia. Atlas Anonymous and Garbutt collided on the first turn and approaching the home turn checking Atlas Anonymous. Through contacted the running rail approaching the home turn and lost ground.

Through was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to both groins, a wart on the right hind foot and minor abrasions. A stand down period of 10 days was imposed.

Supplementary Report: At the Meadows on Saturday 28 July 2018, Trainer Eddie Hamilton presented the greyhound Through at the Meadows to have the reporting of the wart re-checked.  The On-Track Veterinarian reported that Through did not have a wart on the right hind foot.

Akut, Badelaide Road and Fairground collided soon after the start. You Blue and Badelaide Road collided approaching the first turn. Fairground and Love A Chat collided on the first turn checking Love A Chat. Fairground clipped the heels of You Blue collided approaching the home turn.

Norendal, Etiquette and Azalea were quick to begin. Norendal and Etiquette collided soon after the start. Forgotten Girl galloped on Norendal approaching the first turn severely checking Sterling Archer and Norendal and Etiquette fell as a result.

Sterling Archer was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Norendal was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustaineda fractured left rear hock, and was humanely euthanased.

Etiquette was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to both groins and a spike wound to the left hind foot. A stand down period of 7 days was imposed.

Dyna Maple, Chew The Fat and Rollin' With It were quick to begin. Moneypenny and Surf In Vane collided on the first turn. Dyna Maple and Chew The Fat collided entering the back straight checking both greyhounds. Moneypenny and Surf In Vane collided approaching the second turn. Chew The Fat clipped the heels of Speedy Ryder on the second turn. Yoda and Rollin' With It collided approaching the home turn. Moneypenny and Chew The Fat collided on the home turn checking Moneypenny.

It's A Thrill was quick to begin. Rocket Ruby and Winlock Blue Boy were slow to begin. Lady Simmeron and Sky Flix collided soon after the start checking Lady Simmeron. Sky Flix and Chinotto collided approaching the first turn checking Chinotto. Cavernando and It's A Thrill collided approaching the first turn and on the first turn. It's A Thrill and Rocket Ruby collided on the home turn. Cavernando and Militant Mack collided approaching the winning post.

Texas Blaze was slow to begin. Seabrook Gem, Molly Chapta and Nimble Foot collided on the first turn checking Molly Chapta. Molly Chapta and Texas Blaze collided approaching the second turn. Undeniably and Dynastic Ruler collided approaching the second turn checking Dynastic Ruler. Nimble Foot and Keely Run collided on the second turn. Dynastic Ruler and Nimble Foot collided approaching the home turn checking Nimble Foot. Keely Run, Nimble Foot and Texas Blaze collided on the home turn checking Nimble Foot. Dynastic Ruler marred the running of Undeniably in the home straight checking Undeniably.

Dynastic Ruler was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right pencil muscle. A stand down period of 10 days was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Brown, the trainer of the greyhound Dynastic Ruler regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Dynastic Ruler with marring. Mr. Brown pleaded guilty to the charge, Dynastic was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

An Out of Competition Sample was taken from Quando Quando engaged in this event on 24th July 2018 pursuant to GAR 79A.

Stewards spoke to Mrs Brooke Ennis, the trainer of Kiarni Tiger regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Kiarni Tiger last raced on 20th April 2018. Brooke Ennis stated that the reason for the 3 months between races was a change of kennels. 

She's Fabtastic stumbled at box rise and was very slow to begin (6L). Stevie Gee, Banjo Milne and Dyna Penny collided approaching the first turn. Banjo Milne, Krisbar Fox and Kiss Me Putu collided on the first turn checking Kiss Me Putu and severely checking Krisbar Blue Fox.
