Norendal, Etiquette and Azalea were quick to begin. Norendal and Etiquette collided soon after the start. Forgotten Girl galloped on Norendal approaching the first turn severely checking Sterling Archer and Norendal and Etiquette fell as a result.
Sterling Archer was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Norendal was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustaineda fractured left rear hock, and was humanely euthanased.
Etiquette was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to both groins and a spike wound to the left hind foot. A stand down period of 7 days was imposed.
