Texas Blaze was slow to begin. Seabrook Gem, Molly Chapta and Nimble Foot collided on the first turn checking Molly Chapta. Molly Chapta and Texas Blaze collided approaching the second turn. Undeniably and Dynastic Ruler collided approaching the second turn checking Dynastic Ruler. Nimble Foot and Keely Run collided on the second turn. Dynastic Ruler and Nimble Foot collided approaching the home turn checking Nimble Foot. Keely Run, Nimble Foot and Texas Blaze collided on the home turn checking Nimble Foot. Dynastic Ruler marred the running of Undeniably in the home straight checking Undeniably.
Dynastic Ruler was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right pencil muscle. A stand down period of 10 days was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Brown, the trainer of the greyhound Dynastic Ruler regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Dynastic Ruler with marring. Mr. Brown pleaded guilty to the charge, Dynastic was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
