It's Fresh was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right tensor fascia (triangle) muscle. A 21-day stand down period was imposed.

Hot Spuds and Cruzin' were quick to begin. Covfefe, Lava Lamp and Zipping Tex were slow to begin.

Hot Spuds checked off Cruzin' approaching the first turn. Enhanced Power checked off Terrah Round approaching the first turn and collided with Daisy Me Diggin'. Terrah Round contacted the running rail approaching the first turn and lost ground. Enhanced Power and Daisy Me Diggin' collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn, checking Daisy Me Diggin' and Covfefe, and severely checking Enhanced Power; Covfefe raced wide as a result. Zipping Tex raced wide approaching the home turn.

Terrah Round was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained no apparent injury.

Tory's Rocket was slow to begin.

Dark Hombre, Ebonique, Killara John and Gypsy Kiowa collided soon after the start, checking Dark Hombre, Killara John and Gypsy Kiowa. Kazza Magoo and Spolly's Girl collided approaching the first turn. Ebonique checked off Dark Hombre approaching the home turn. Spolly's Girl eased on the home turn and lost considerable ground. Ebonique checked off Dark Hombre entering the home straight.

Spolly's Girl was vetted and after being re-vetted following event five; it was reported that the greyhound sustained no apparent injury. Stewards spoke to Mr Pasqualino Romagnino, the trainer of the greyhound Spolly's Girl, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the home turn. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Spolly's Girl with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Romagnino pleaded not guilty to the charge, Spolly's Girl was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Cranbourne and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Volcanic Winter was slow to begin.

Galloping Wytee, Tuiaki Dora, Volcanic Winter and Always Alone collided approaching the first turn, checking Tuiaki Dora and Volcanic Winter. Volcanic Winter and Always Alone collided on the first turn, checking Always Alone. Just Faith checked off Anita's Girl on the first turn. Galloping Wytee checked off Just Faith on the first turn, checking Just Faith. Volcanic Winter and Just Faith collided approaching the home turn. Tuiaki Dora and Always Alone collided approaching the winning post. Just Faith raced wide in the home straight.

Anita's Girl was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a carpal sprain to the right wrist. A seven-day stand down period was imposed.

Santana and My Echidna were slow to begin.

Python Pride, Never Duplicated and Voluptuous Ruby collided on the first turn, checking Voluptuous Ruby, and My Echidna which raced wide as a result. Ringside and Romany Girl collided approaching the second turn. Romany Girl checked off Ringside on the second turn. My Echidna raced wide in the home straight.

Spring Bridge and Scorching Lucy were slow to begin.

Dyna Alia crossed to the rail soon after the start, checking Spring Bridge, Spokane Flick and Vaniska. Vanishka checked off Ishmy Girl on the first turn, checking Ishmy Girl, Seminole Wind and Spring Bridge. Spokane Flick and Spring Bridge collided approaching the second turn. Roland View was very slow to begin (3L).

Canya Wilber and Gotta Rush collided soon after the start, checking Gotta Rush. Buckle Up York checked off Kimani on the first turn, checking Kimani.

Gotta Rush was vetted following the event due to a fall after the winning post. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fracture of the left humerus, and was humanely euthanased.

Roland View was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right tensor fascia (triangle) muscle. A ten-day stand down period was imposed.

Jobes Return was quick to begin. Rodeo and Flying Storm were slow to begin.

Lucky Omar checked off Melissa Lee approaching the first turn, checking Melissa Lee. Suitress and No Road collided on the first turn, checking No Road, Freedom Fire and Burnsy's Sam. Yenderra Blue and Why Not Senor collided on the first turn. No Road and Freedom Fire collided on the home turn. Lucky Omar galloped on Suitress on the home turn and raced wide.

An out of competition sample was taken from Chardy, Manila Bala and Brazilian Brae  on 24 July 2018.

Stewards spoke to Mr Robert Crawford, the trainer of Chardy, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Chardy last raced on 18 April 2018 and is returning after a left monkey muscle injury and a change of kennel.

Blackhawk Parker and Alina Grand collided soon after the start. Shining Opal and Dark Star collided several times from soon after the start to the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Dark Star contacted the running rail approaching the home turn. Aston Ando and Alina Grand collided entering the home straight. Alina Grand and Blackhawk Parker collided approaching the winning post.
