A pre-race sample was taken from Run The Route.

Tempered was quick to begin.  Three Fifty One was slow to begin.  Bula Bang Bang and Goodbye Goldie collided approaching the first turn checking Bula Bang Bang.  It's A Trick and Goodbye Goldie collided on the first turn checking Goodbye Goldie and severely checking It's A Trick which became unbalanced and collided with White Fernando; White Fernando and It's A Trick were checked and raced wide as a result.

White Fernando was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr. R. Divirgilio, the trainer of Tempered regarding the greyhound's improved performance in this event.  Mr. Divirgilio stated that he had given the greyhound a short spell which he felt had allowed the greyhound to mature.  Stewards accepted Mr. Divirgilio's explanation and directed that a sample be taken from the greyhound, winner of the this event.

An Out of Competition Sample was taken from Python Pride, reserve in this event, on 9th July 2018 pursuant to GAR 79A.

A pre-race sample was taken from Farfalla Nera.

Farfalla Nera was quick to begin.  Plummy's Girl was slow to begin.  Ringside, Yelredda Saint and Farfalla Nera collided approaching the first turn checking Yelredda Saint.  Farfalla Nera galloped on the heels of Ringside on the first turn checking both greyhounds and causing Yelredda Saint and Voluptuous Ruby to race wide.  Ringside checked off Farfalla Nera on the second turn.  Farfalla Nera checked off Ringside on the third turn severely checking Voluptuous Ruby and Psychedelic Jay.  Farfalla Nera and Bekim Instinct collided entering the home straight.

A pre-race sample was taken from Dyna Winkler.

Dyna Winter was quick to begin.  Prince Mikado was slow to begin.  Full Tilt, Dyna Winkler and Kouta And Cream collided soon after the start checking Dyna Winkler.  Due Fratteli and Kylo Ren collided approaching the first turn.  Due Fratteli clipped the heels of Kylo Ren on the first turn.  Dyna Owen, Kylo Ren and Full Tilt collided on the first turn severely checking Kylo Ren which lost ground as a result.

Nitroniun was slow to begin.  Shot To Glory and Voluptuous Blue collided approaching the first turn.  Shot To Glory, Black Market and Voluptuous Blue collided on the first turn checking Shot To Glory and Rahni.  Black Market and Voluptuous Blue collided approaching the home turn.  Rahni raced wide on the home turn.  Black Market and Voluptuous Blue collided entering the home straight checking both greyhounds.  Shot To Glory raced wide in the home straight.

A pre-race sample was taken from Rodeo.

Impala and Maximum Jan were quick to begin.  Dyna Drew was slow to begin.  Cee Jay Ace checked off Impala on the first turn checking Fifty Dollar, Water Colour and Dyna Drew.  Impala and Maximum Jan collided on the first turn.  Rodeo checked off Cee Jay Ace on the second turn.  Impala, Fifty Dollar and Dyna Drew collided entering the home straight checking Fifty Dollar.

Mr. G. Bartlett, trainer of Doused In Mud declared a new weight of 29.2kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Doused In Mud last raced at 27.6kgs.

A pre-race sample was taken from Seminole Wind.

Seminole Wind checked off Vanishka soon after the start.  Macauliff, Doused In Mud and Adala Son collided approaching the first turn checking Doused In Mud and Adala Son.  Our Gal Livy and Ice Cold Yug collided approaching the first turn checking Our Gal Livy.  Macauliff and Adala Son collided on the first turn.  Vanishka, Ice Cold Yug and Johnny Black collided entering the home straight and again in the home straight checking Johnny Black.  Vanishka and Johnny Black collided approaching the winning post.

La Bamba Icon was slow to begin.  Toffee Lady and All Dolled Up collided soon after the start.  Perrie The Fairy and Ringading Bling collided soon after the start.  Ringading Bling and Savannah Icon colllided approaching the first turn checking Savannah Icon; Fab Reiko and Savannah Icon collided as a result.  All Dolled Up and Toffee Lady collided on the first turn.  Ringading Bling and Fab Reiko collided approaching the second turn checking Toffee Lady.  All Dolled Up and La Bamba Icon collided approaching the second turn.  Savannah Icon and La Bamba Icon collided on the home turn.  Toffee Lady and Savannah Icon collided in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mr. A. Setford, the trainer of Velocity Korina regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Velocity Korina last raced at 3rd March 2018.  Mr. Setford stated that the greyhound was returning to race after a change of kennel.

Zipping Monty, Gehring Bale and Velocity Korina collided soon after the start.  Miles Per Gallon and Kuta's Lad collided approaching the first turn.  Kuta's Lad checked off Miles Per Gallon on the first turn causing Zipping Monty and Kuta's Lad to collide.  Zipping Monty checked off Miles Per Gallon approaching the second turn.  Zipping Monty and Kuta's Lad collided on the second turn.  Gehring Bale and Miles Per Gallon collided entering the back straight.  Zipping Monty and Kuta's Lad collided entering the back straight checking Kuta's Lad.  Miles Per Gallon and Velocity Korina collided on the third turn.  Kuta's Lad and Velocity Korina collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn.

Excelencia was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right front phalangeal fracture.  A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Radiant Angel and Dewana Dime were quick to begin.  Crump's Princess and Dyna Xerox were slow to begin.  Crump's Princess and Ratajkowski collided on the first turn.  Dewana Dime and Pink Floyd collided on the first turn.  Deano's Smidge and Crump's Princess collided approaching the second turn.  Dewana Dimie and Pink Floyd collided on the second turn.  Deano's Smidge and Dewana Dimie collided entering the back straight.  Crump's Princess and Dyna Xerox collided approaching the home turn.  Pink Floyd and Dyna Xerox collided approaching the winning post.

A pre-race sample was taken from Mia Brae.

Kimani was quick to begin.  Mia Brae and Lady Mikado were slow to begin.  Go Go Guru was very slow to begin (3 lengths).  Shannon Allen checked off Kimani on the first turn.  Lektra Blicavs and Lady Mikado collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn checking Lektra Blicavs.

Spritely Bob and Quick Defence were slow to begin.  Elram Girl checked off Sazoo Icon soon after the start.  Beluga Diamond galloped on the heels of Birkenhead on the first turn severely checking Beluga Diamond, Birkenhead, Spritely Bob, Quick Defence, Luna Evening and Elram Girl; Spritely Bob and Quick Defence fell and Elram Girl lost considerable ground as a result.  Birkenhead checked off Beluga Diamond entering the home straight.  Luna Evening raced wide in the home straight.

Spritely Bob was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right thigh.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Quick Defence was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained abrasions to its left hind foot.  No stand down period was imposed.

Elram Girl was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left front toes.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
