Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Ms Anita Courts, the trainer of Crackerjack Sam regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Crackerjack Sam last raced on 8 December 2017 and is returning to racing from a left front toe injury. A new declared weight of 32.4kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2) was also declared. Crackerjack Sam last raced at 33.6kgs.
A pre-race sample was taken from Crackerjack Sam.
Blackhawk Parker was quick to begin.
Emperor Cruz and Crackerjack Sam collided on the first turn checking Crackerjack Sam. Scoop Jackson faltered on the first turn and subsequently tailed off. Hearing De Novo checked off Emperor Cruz on the home turn. Cash Ownley checked off Emperor Cruz in the home straight.
Scoop Jackson was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right scapula fracture, a 90 day stand down period was imposed.
Pursuant to GAR 104 (6) Track Attendant Mr. S Courts did not act in any official capacity for this event.
