Steward's Report
Duff Bale was a late scratching at 10.20am due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Ms. V. Watson was fined the sum of $100.
A pre-race sample was taken from Zulu Zoe.
Anjing Betina was quick to begin. Zoenah's Legacy went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin. Popowski and Shiro collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn. Zoenah's Legacy lost ground in the back straight. Zulu Zoe and Oakmont Whisper collided in the back straight.
Zulu Zoe was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event, it was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the left hind leg, no stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. K. McCann the trainer of the greyhound Zulu Zoe. Stewards deemed the performance of Zulu Zoe unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Zulu Zoe must perform a satisfactory trial all tracks before any future nomination will be accepted.
