A pre-race sample was taken from Johnny's Return.
Johnny's Return and Mister Heeney were slow to begin.
Rhomboid crossed to the outside soon after the start and collided with Ernie's Legacy, checking Mister Heeney. Johnny's Return and Mon Mekki Kahn collided soon after the start. Rhomboid and Ernie's Legacy collided at the 100m mark, severely checking Rhomboid, Ernie's Legacy and Mister Henney.
Rhomboid was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained no apparent injury.
