A pre-race sample was taken from Coronary Cloud.
Blackjack's Back was slow to begin and crossed to the rail soon after the start. Tayla's Banjo and Coronary Cloud collided soon after the start. Alfie's Affair and Supraspinatus collided soon after the start and again approaching the 300m mark. Supraspinatus checked off Alfie's Affair approaching the 250m mark and crossed to the rail as a result.
Stewards spoke to attendant handler Ms Kathleen Newport, and issued a warning regarding her failure to catch the greyhound Coronary Cloud in this event, pursuant to GAR 48.
