Stewards spoke to Mr Donald Rhodes, the trainer of Yangtze, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Yangtze last raced 29 November 2017 and is returning to racing after an injury.
Daintree Dynamo, Jimmy's Angel and Yangtze collided soon after the start. Daintree Dynamo, Jimmy's Angel, Yangtze and Tobias Kelton collided at the 250m mark. Daintree Dynamo, Yangtze and Tusksa collided at the 200m mark. Jimmy's Angel and Tobias Kelton collided at the 200m mark. Daintree Dynamo, Yangtze and Tusksa collided at the 150m mark. Daintree Dynamo and Tusksa collided several times from the 100m mark to the 50m mark.
MEETING COMMENTS
Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr Keith Hellmuth, the trainer of Black Talon, regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Black Talon last raced on 24 August 2017. Mr Hellmuth stated that the greyhound had been recovering from a right stopper injury. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Black Talon trialled over the 350m from box three, weight 36.9kg, the greyhound was placed first in a field of five. The time of the trial was 19.52, the greyhound won by a margin of 0.5L. Black Talon was cleared.
Satisfactory Trial Results - Hide The Wallet trialled over the 350m from box eight, weight 27.5kg, the greyhound was placed fifth in a field of five. The time of the trial was 19.52, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 5.75L. Hide The Wallet was cleared.
