Starbright Vic and Why Not Maxine collided soon after the start checking Why Not Maxine.  Jan's Star and Uber Biel collided approaching the first turn.  Uber Biel eased on the first turn and collided with Why Not Dean resulting in Uber Biel, Why Not Dean and Why Not Liv being checked. Red Hot Sophie checked off Starbright Vic on the home turn checking Why Not Liv. Red Hot Sophie raced wide as a result. 

Stewards spoke to Mr B. Boers, the trainer of the greyhound Uber Biel regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the first turn. Uber Biel was vetted and re-vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained abrasions to the right front leg, no stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the Stewards charged Uber Biel with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Boers pleaded guilty to the charge, Uber Biel was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Greysynd Alpha and Not Loitering collided approaching the first turn checking Not Loitering.  Gehring Bale and Lady Simmeron collided approaching the first turn.  Lush Life and Gehring Bale collided on the first turn checking Lush Life and Lady Simmeron.  Jello Allan and Not Loitering collided approaching the home turn.  Lady Simmeron checked off Lush Life in the home straight.  Little Big Girl raced wide in the home straight.

Chilcott, the trainer of the greyhound Heat Up regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight. Heat Up was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained spike wounds to the right and left front paws, no stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the Stewards charged Heat Up with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Chilcott pleaded guilty to the charge, Heat Up was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Crazy Jo Jo was quick to begin.  Philo Bale and Opalia Bale were slow to begin.

Forever Merry was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right quadriceps and right pencil injuries and spike wounds to left and right hocks, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

In The Net was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wounds to right dewclaw and right hock, no stand down period was imposed.

Red Hot Bella was quick to begin.  Any Silvers Bro was very slow to begin (3 lengths).

Sunningdale checked off Taarie Bale approaching the first turn.  Handsome Cosmo and Taarie Bale collided on the first turn.  Pop Do It and Taarie Bale collided approaching the home turn.  Handsome Cosmo galloped on the heels of Red Hot Bella on the home turn. 

Any Silvers Bro which trailed the field throughout  was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr N. Lenehan, trainer of the greyhound Any Silvers Bro.  Stewards deemed the performance of Any Silvers Bro unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Any Silvers Bro must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
