Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr J. Ennis, Representative for Trainer, Mrs B. Ennis, regarding the length of time greyhound, Bella Shima has had between races. Bella Shima last raced on 21st September, 2017. Mr Ennis stated that the greyhound had been in season.
Bella Shima and Tanoan Creek collided soon after the start. Roger Express and Just Nimble It collided on the first turn. Roger Express and Just Nimble It collided on the second turn checking Roger Express. Tanoan Creek and Carltonian collided on the second turn checking Tanoan Creek, Just Nimble It and Mepunga Gal. Roger Express checked off Caltonian approaching the third turn. Roger Express, Tanoan Creek and Mepunga Gal collided on the third turn checking Tanoan Creek, Mepunga Gal and Just Nimble It. Just Nimble It checked off Tanoan Creek on the fourth turn.
Just Nimble It was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right calf injury, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
