Steward's Report
Kennels closed at 7:15pm due to a number of trainers being delayed by traffic.
As the temperature was significantly lower than 32 degrees, Stewards dispensed with the hot weather policy.
Mepunga Laser, Sharp Diamond, Hot Tip and Good Luck Mark collided on the first turn checking Mepunga Laser, severely checking Good Luck Mark and Hot Tip. Billy's Bake and Sharp Diamond collided on the fifth turn checking Sharp Diamond and Mepunga Laser. Sharp Diamond contacted the running rail as a result. Sharp Diamond and Hot Tip collided approaching the home turn.
Sharp Diamond was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right back injury, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
