Stewards spoke to Mr Jason Stemmer, the trainer of Fawn Nova, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Fawn Nova last raced on 29 January 2018.  Mr Stemmer stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a back muscle injury and seasonal spell.

Stewards spoke to Ms Debbie Selleck, the representative of Ants In Pants, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Ants In Pants last raced on 27 March 2018.  Ms Selleck stated that the greyound was returning to racing following a left sesamoid injury.

Stella View, Savannah Icon and Ratajkowski were quick to begin.  Stella View and Toffee Lady collided on the first turn, severely checking Stella View, and checking Rumbling and Splinter.  Splinter brushed the running rail in the back straight.  Splinter checked off Toffee Lady on the third turn.

Rumbling was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards issued a warning to Mr Graham Brown, the trainer of Rumbling, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the second turn.  Mr Brown declined to have Rumbling re-vetted.

Stewards spoke to Mr Paul Ellul, the trainer of Don't Trust, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Don't Trust last raced on 26 January 2018.  Mr Ellul stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a left wrist injury.

Taabinga Flash was quick to begin.  Taabinga Flash, No Passengers, Sports Knight, Quest For Glory and Adala Son collided soon after the start, checking Sports Knight and Quest For Glory.  Taabinga Flash and Adala Son collided on the first turn, severely checking Don't Trust, and checking Quest For Glory.  Taabinga Flash, No Passengers and Adala Son collided approaching the second turn, checking Taabinga Flash and Adala Son; causing Adala Son to race wide as a result.  Sports Knight and Quest For Glory collided entering the back straight, checking Sports Knight.
