Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr B.Hiscock, the trainer of Sergei regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Sergei last raced on 10 January, 2018. Mr Hiscock stated that the greyhound was resuming racing after a right deltoid injury.
Perfect Project was very slow to begin (4L).
Queen Coriander and Ruby Rads collided soon after the start checking Ruby Rads. Perfect Project, Ruby Rads and All Jokes Aside collided on the first turn checking Ruby Rads and All Jokes Aside. Perfect Project and Dr. Jezabel collided approaching the home turn checking Dr. Jezabel. Dr. Jezabel, Ruby Rads and All Jokes Aside collided on the home turn checking Dr. Jezabel and Ruby Rads. Pa's Girl lost ground in the home straight and collided with All Jokes Aside and Sergei.
Pa's Girl was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the pelvis, hip and groin. A stand down period of 14 days was imposed.
Meeting Comments:
Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Klemke, the trainer of Lezak regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Lezak last raced on 16th November 2017. Mr. Klemke stated that the greyhound was new to his kennels. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Lezak trialled over the 450mts from box 2, weight 31.3kg, the greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 24.4, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 3.75L. Lezak was cleared.
Re-Vetted Greyhound - Oscar De Lonhro was presented for a re-vet at the conclusion of kennelling and was Cleared to race.
