Swift Abbey was slow to begin.
Gehrig was very slow to begin (4L).
Subconscious and Maximum Kack collided on the first turn checking Maximum Kack. Arma Rapida, Eminence Keroma and Striking Weetbix collided on the first turn. Arma Rapida and Apex Within collided approaching the second turn checking Arma Rapida. Gehrig and Arma Rapida collided approaching the home turn.
Maximum Kack was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right fibula and right shin soreness. A stand down period of 7 days was imposed.
Stewards noted that the muzzle of Eminence Keroma became dislodged during the running of the event.
