Pretty Sensation and Revved Up Dee collided approaching the first turn. Blue Hazard and Hua Hin collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn. Hua Hin was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left long head triceps (monkey) muscle. A five-day veterinary stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr Alfred Debattista, the trainer of the greyhound Hua Hin, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the home turn. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Hua Hin with marring. Mr Debattistia pleaded guilty to the charge, Hua Hin was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at The Meadows and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
