Stewards spoke to Mr Rinaldo Divirgillo, the trainer of Tegxcellent regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Tegxcellent last raced on 8 February 2018 and is returning from a change of kennels.

A pre-race sample was taken from Ninetymile Hawk.

This event was approxamatley 2 minutes late to start due to starter having to remove water in one of the starting boxes. 

Tegxcellent. Nimble Lucy and She's Our Poppy were quick to begin.

Ninetymile Hawk faltered on the first turn and lost ground checking Trapezius.  Tegxcellent and Nimble Lucy collided approaching the home turn.  Flying Storm and Chase The Nugget collided approaching the home turn checking Chase The Nugget.  Tegxcellent crossed to the outside approaching the home turn and failed to pursue the lure by due commitment severely checking Nimble Lucy.

Ninetymile Hawk was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left wrist sprain and a left back muscle injury, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr Rinaldo Divirgillio, the trainer of the greyhound Tegxcellent regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn.  Tegxcellent was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right wrist sprain and right back muscle injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Tegxcellent with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Divirgillio pleaded not guilty to the charge, Tegxcellent was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
