Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr Joseph Abela, the trainer of My Echidna regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. My Echidna last raced on 20 January 2018 and is returning from a injury to both wrists.
Maireana was slow to begin.
Orlando Cruise and Maireana collided on the first turn. Orlando Cruise and Ghostly Terrah collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn. Flying Queen and Blue Irish collided in the home straight. Nostalgia checked off Blue Irish approaching the winning post.
Nostalgia was vetted and re-vetted following event 8. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. After viewing all available video footage, the Stewards were satisfied that Nostalgia checked off the heels of Blue Irish approaching the winning post.
Ghostly Terrah was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained split webbing to the left hind, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.
