Osacar De Lonhro was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right wrist.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Rowley, trainer of Akina Blitz regarding the greyhound's step up in distance.  Mr. Rowley stated that he believes that the greyhound is suited to this distance.

Forever Merry and Hardaway Outlaw collided soon after the start.  Hardaway Outlaw and Go Levi collided approaching the first turn.  Hardaway Outlaw checked off Go Levi on the first turn checking Riccarton and Sooky Jooky.  Go Levi checked off Joyous on the home turn.  Forever Merry faltered on the home turn and tailed off as a result.

Forever Merry was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right hind metatarsal fracture.  A 90 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. A. Norris, the trainer of Perfect Rider regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Perfect Rider last raced on 27th December 2017.  Mr. Norris stated that the greyhound was returning to race after a change of kennel.

Emily's Kitty was a late scratching at 6:20pm on the advice of the Club's Veterinary Surgeon due to an injury to its right hip.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr.I. Newcome, the trainer of  Zara's Pride regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Zara's Pride last raced on 11th November 2017.  Mr. Newcombe stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after a seasonal break.  Pursuant to GAR 77A, Zara's Pride trialled over the 311 metre distance from box 1, weight 29.6kgs.  The greyhound was placed 3rd, in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 17.92.  The greyhound was beaten by a margin of 3.75 lengths.  Zara's Pride. was cleared.

Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Talgi, the trainer of  Flying Hareeba regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Flying Hareeba last raced on 15th May 2017.  Mr. Talgi stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after injuries to its stopper bone and toe.  Pursuant to GAR 77A, Flying Hareeba trialled over the 311 metre distance from box 4, weight 26.7kgs.  The greyhound was placed 2nd, in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 17.92.  The greyhound was beaten by a margin of 3 lengths.  Flying Hareeba was cleared.

Dewana Result (Weight trial) trialled over the 311 metre distance from box 6, weight 40.9kgs.  The greyhound was placed 1st, in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 17.92.  The greyhound was won by a margin of 3 lengths.  Dewana Result was cleared.

Rapid Belle Noir trialled over the 311 metre distance from box 8, weight 26.7kgs.  The greyhound was placed 4th, in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 17.92.  The greyhound was beaten by a margin of 7.75 lengths.  Rapid Belle Noir was cleared.
