Blue Cat Wombat, Holyfield and Make It Happen were quick to begin.
Trey Smidge stumbled soon after the start. Take Home Sadie checked off Siver Lightning on the first turn. Make It Happen and Siver Lightning collided on the first turn, checking Siver Lightning. Make It Happen and Siver Lightning collided entering the home straight, causing Take Home Sadie to gallop on Siver Lightning.

Stewards spoke to Mr William Bickerton, the trainer of Miss Fab regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Miss Fab last raced on 21 November, 2017. Mr Bickerton stated that the greyhound is returning to racing after being on season.
