Stewards spoke to Mrs. L. Delbridge, the trainer of Whiz regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Whiz last raced on the 4th February 2018 and is returning to race after a change in kennels.

Polly's Nigel, Whiz and Xinnia Allen collided soon after the start checking all three greyhounds.  White Cynder checked off Dyna Bella on the first turn.

Speedy Spyro who performed below market expectation, started as favourite and finished last, was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right back muscle.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed. When questioned representative George Dailly explained that the greyhound had performed to the kennels expectation.

Ms. A. Courts, trainer of Crackerjack Tim declared a new weight of 30.3kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Crackerjack Tim last raced at 31.9kgs.

Calabrese Bullet and Theatrics Show collided soon after the start.  Tashendo and Crackerjack Tim collided soon after the start.  Hearing De Novo, Go Laverne Go and Tashendo collided approaching the first turn checking Tashendo.  Calabrese Bullet and Tashendo collided on the first turn.

Alonso Mornay and Federal Lilly collided soon after the start.  Our Flying Laura, Rellim Diesel and Hit The Highway collided approaching the first turn.  Hit The Highway and Avalon Sisco collided on the third turn checking Avalon Sisco.  Hit The Highway and Our Flying Laura collided on the home turn checking Hit The Highway, Our Flying Laura and Rellim Diesel.

Cookie Yap and Sisco Bella were quick to begin.  Fat Rhino and Air Commander were slow to begin.  Oh Jay Korie and Cookie Yap collided on the first turn checking Cookie Yap.  Oh Kay Korie and Sisco Bella collided on the first turn.  Zipping Galon galloped on the heels of Cookie Yap on the first turn checking Zipping Galon, Cookie Yap and Fat Rhino.  Cookie Yap and Zipping Galon collided on the second turn.  Broken Axle turned its head outwards on the fourth turn and collided with Oh Jay Korie checking both greyhounds.  Broken Axle and Oh Jay Korie collided approaching the home turn checking Oh Jay Korie.  Broken Axle veered outwards and marred Fat Rhino on the home turn checking Fat Rhino and Oh Jay Korie.

Stewards spoke to Mr. W. Donlon, the representative of Broken Axle regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the fourth turn.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1), Stewards charged Broken Axle with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mr. Donlon pleaded guilty to the charge.  Broken Axle was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Geelong and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a), before any future nomination will be found.
