Steward's Report
A trial of the GRV-endorsed ISO-LYNX real-time tracking system was conducted throughout today's racing program. All race rugs used today were fitted with a location tracking beacon as part of this trial.
Weblec Mack was a late scratching at 8:42am due to illness (GAR 23). A ten-day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.
Rocket Tears was quick to begin. Romanova, Swift Abbey and Shellbrook were slow to begin.
Kid Boomer crossed to the inside soon after the start, checking Swift Abbey, Romanova and Stevie Jane. Kid Boomer checked off Milly's Coconut approaching the first turn. Romanova and Milly's Coconut collided on the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Swift Abbey and Kid Boomer collided on the first turn and again on the second turn, checking both greyhounds. Stevie Jane and Shellbrook collided entering the home straight.
Kid Boomer was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained no apparent injury.
