A pre-race sample was taken from Half Day Harry.
Sariah Allen was quick to begin.
Diego Fernando, Half Day Harry, Dyna Xerox, Starbright Vic and Revved Up Dee collided soon after the start, checking Dyna Xerox and Starbright Vic. Half Day Harry and Revved Up Dee collided approaching the first turn. Chill Out Chris, Liberty Tron and Diego Fernando collided on the first turn. Dyna Xerox and Starbright Vic collided on the first turn. Revved Up Dee checked off Diego Fernando on the third turn. Sariah Allen cramped over the concluding stages and lost ground.
Sariah Allen was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left pectoral (chest) muscle and cramp. A seven-day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Lori Courts, the kennel representative for the greyhound Sariah Allen. Acting in accordance with GAR 71 (Cramp), Stewards directed that the greyhound must perform a Satisfactory Trial before any future nomination will be accepted.
