Tyson's A Rebel, Come Home and Revved Up Dee collided soon after the start, checking Revved Up Dee. Tyson's A Rebel, Come Home and Antarctic Lass collided approaching the first turn, severely checking Tyson's A Rebel and Come Home. Antarctic Lass, Reiko Ablett and Geller Allen collided on the first turn, checking Reiko Ablett and Geller Allen. Revved Up Dee and Antarctic Lass collided on the third turn, checking both greyhounds; Antarctic Lass became unbalanced and raced wide as a result, checking Reiko Ablett. Tyson's A Rebel and Come Home collided approaching the home turn. Chill Out Chris checked off Tyson's A Rebel in the home straight.
