Little Tonka, Lady Emerald and Blunderbuss were quick to begin.  Select Teeman, Run The Route and Polo Pete collided soon after the start.  Run The Route, Polo Pete and No Sugar collided approaching the first turn checking No Sugar.  Little Tonka and Lady Emerald collided on the first turn checking Little Tonka, Lady Emerald and Blunderbuss causing Polo Pete and Little Tonka to race wide.  Lady Emerald and Blunderbuss collided on the home turn checking Lady Emerald.  Polo Pete and Little Tonka raced wide in the home straight.

Just Faith was quick to begin.  Hawkie and Shotgun Shiloh collided soon after the start.  Kip Moss, Hawkie and Shotgun Shiloh collided approaching the first turn checking Hawkie.  Reco Tonic galloped on the heels of Just Faith on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Kip Moss checked off Big Butterbean on the first turn checking Big Butterbean.  Swift Chief raced wide on the first turn.  Big Butterbean checked off Just Faith in the home straight.

Inga Red was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right back muscle, a 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Magenta Gold was a late scratching at 6:10pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to a right hock injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Mr. S. Compaan, representative of Amani declared a new weight of 33.3 for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Amani last raced at 35.0.

Stewards spoke to Mr. S Jack after the greyhound Elram Girl was placed in the incorrect kennel during the kennelling process.  Mr. Jack was reminded of his responsibilities pursuant to GAR 41 (1) (4).
