A pre-race sample was taken from Empress Rose.
Akina Blitz and Ratajkowski were slow to begin. Romany Girl and Voluptuous Ruby collided soon after the start. Voluptuous Ruby and Cersei collided approaching the first turn. Inga Red checked off Ballinderry Girl approaching the first turn causing the greyhound to falter and subsequently tail off checking Akina Blitz as a result. Ballinderry Girl, Romany Girl and Cersei collided on the first turn checking Voluptuous Ruby, severely checking Romany Girl and Cersei. Romany Girl raced wide in the back straight. Ballinderry Girl and Ratajkowski collided approaching the third turn checking Ballinderry Girl. Cersei contacted the running rail on the third turn. Romany Girl and Voluptuous Ruby collided in the home straight.
Inga Red was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right back muscle, a 60 day stand down period was imposed.
