Federal Lilly was quick to begin.  Hello Cobber went up with the lids at box rise.  Hello Cobber checked off the heels of Limburg Sprite soon after the start.  Hill Top Hood and Limburg Sprite collided on the third turn.  Go Maxi eased approaching the winning post.

Stewards spoke to Mr Danny Cortese, the handler of the greyhound Go Maxi, regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.  Go Maxi was vetted and re-rvetted following event seven.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to a right foreleg deltoid muscle injury, a seven day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the Stewards charged Go Maxi with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Cortese pleaded guilty to the charge, Go Maxi was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Following event one - Exhibition trial: - Beryllium trialled over the 595m from box three, weight 30.4 kgs.  The times for the trial were 1st split 9:35, 2nd split 23:63 and the overall time was 34.383.
