Steward's Report
Rocket Tears was slow to begin. Black Zambesi, Limburg Will, Bergal and Rocket Tears collided soon after the start, checking Limburg Will and Rocket Tears. Black Zambesi galloped on the heels of Bergal approaching the first turn, which lost ground and tailed off.
Bergal was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right hindleg thigh injury and spike wound to the left foot, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.
Following event two - Exhibition trial: - Monster Fish trialled over the 515m from box one, weight 33.3 kgs. The times for the trial were 1st split 5:15, 2nd split 9:06 and the overall time was 29:792. The trainer, Ms Kate Gorman requested that Monster Fish be vetted after the trial. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
