Stewards spoke to Mr Barry Marshall, the trainer of Unfakeable, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Unfakeable last raced at The Meadows on 14 February, 2018. Mr Marshall stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a right hip injury.

Wok Djay, Acer and New Fire Girl collided at the 200m mark, severely checking New Fire Girl. Wok Djay and Sovereign Series collided several times from the 200m mark to the 150m mark. Fabelite and Octo Flash collided several times at the 150m mark. Sovereign Series and Shooters Ali collided at the 50m mark and again approaching the winning post.

Acer was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained no apparent injury.

Agent Voilet was a late scratching at 8.58am due to non arrival (GAR 31). A 28-day stand down period was imposed. Trainer, Mr N Carthew, was fined the sum of $100. Stewards spoke to Mr Michael Meyer who advised he had a transport breakdown. Stewards intend on lifting both penalties once supporting documentation is received at GRV Offices.

Shadrack was a late scratching at 10.11am due to illness. A ten-day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to Mr K Ward (representing trainer, Mr N Carthew) who advised that the greyhound had diarrhoea.

Mr Brent Merton was fined the sum of $50 for failing to ensure the registration card was produced for Mighty Storm pursuant to GAR 33.

Fascinate Queen and Mighty Storm were slow to begin and collided soon after the start.

Stewards spoke to Ms S Abela, the trainer of Sargent, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Sargent last raced at Healesville on 29 January, 2018.  Ms Abela stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a right monkey muscle injury.

Stewards spoke to M Clohesy, the trainer of Wadelock Venus, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Wadelock Venus last raced at Sale on 21 January, 2018.  Mr Marshall stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after being on season. Mr Clohesy also declared a new weight of 24.6kg. Wadelock Venus last weighed at 25.6kg at Sale on 21 January, 2018.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr Paul Burkby, the trainer of Dorothy Dawn, regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Dorothy Dawn last raced on 20 September 2017. Mr Burkby stated that the greyhound had changed kennels. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Dorothy Dawn trialled over the 300m from box one, weight 26.1kg, the greyhound was placed second in a field of four. The time of the trial was 17.36, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of a nose. Dorothy Dawn was cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr Calven Russell, the trainer of Miss Walt, regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Miss Walt last raced on 12 May 2017. Mr Russell stated that the greyhound had changed kennels and been seasonal. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Miss Walt trialled over the 300m from box four, weight 27.3kg, the greyhound was placed first in a field of four. The time of the trial was 17.36, the greyhound won by a margin of a nose. Miss Walt was cleared.
