Cheeky Cindy was slow to begin.
Krav Maga and Perfect Hours collided soon after the start checking Perfect Hours. Emperor Cruz, No Guarantees and Paws And Go collided soon after the start. Krav Maga, Audacious Bell and Magic Euphoria collided approaching the first turn checking Audacious Bell. No Guarantees faltered approaching the first turn and lost considerable ground. Paws And Go and Magic Euphoria collided on the first turn checking Magic Euphoria and Audacious Bell. Paws And Go and Cheeky Cindy collided approaching the home turn. Paws And Go checked off Cheeky Cindy on the home turn checking Cheeky Cindy and Audacious Bell, Paws And Go and Audacious Bell raced wide as a result.
No Guarantees was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right triangle injury, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to handler Mr R. Hill regarding his difficulty in boxing the greyhound Cheeky Cindy. Stewards directed that Cheeky Cindy be boxed first in future events.
