The Club Veterinary Surgeon examined Swoop And Peck and no illness was detected. The greyhound was a late scratching at 5.30pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr D. Shovan was fined the sum of $100.

Stewards spoke to Mr I. Newcombe, the trainer of Evie Girl regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Evie Girl last raced on 11 October 2017 and is returning after a lift hind injury and seasonal.

No Guarantees was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right triangle injury, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to handler Mr R. Hill regarding his difficulty in boxing the greyhound Cheeky Cindy. Stewards directed that Cheeky Cindy be boxed first in future events.

MEETING COMMENTS:

Satisfactory Trial Results - Rodeo trialled over the 520mtrs from box 4, weight 31.2kgs, the greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 31.14, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 7.25 lengths, (checked on the third turn). Rodeo was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results - North Wind trialled over the 311mtrs from box 1, weight 33.1kgs, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 18.04, the greyhound won by a margin of 2 lengths. North Wind was Cleared.
