Wise Roseberg was slow to begin. Newfire Chelle, Wise Rosberg, Zefron and Liberty Tron collided on the first turn, checking Newfire Chelle, severely checking Wise Rosberg, Zefron and Liberty Tron, and causing Wise Rosberg to fall. Hardaway Kate checked off Newfire Chelle in the back straight, severely checking Hardaway Kate and Liberty Tron, and causing Hardaway Kate and Liberty Tron to lose considerable ground.
Wise Rosberg was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained left and right foreleg deltoid and right hindleg triangle muscle injuries, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
