Steward's Report
Mary In Love was slow to begin at box rise, and took no competitive participation in the event. Kraken Greta and Blank Page collided soon after the start. Dyna Raze clipped the heels of Graphite County on the first turn, checking Graphite County. County Carlow and My Logan Leigh collided approaching the home turn. Insanus and Blank Page collided on the home turn. Graphite County, Blank Page and Insanus collided in the home straight, checking Graphite County. Blank Page and Insanus collided approaching the winning post.
Stewards spoke to Mr Aaron Farley, the trainer of the greyhound Mary In Love, regarding the greyhounds racing manners at the start. Mary In Love was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to left and right hindlegs fibula, left hindleg groin and pelvic injuries, a seven day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the Stewards charged Mary In Love with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Farley pleaded guilty to the charge, Mary In Love was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
