Stewards spoke to Mr Aaron Farley, the trainer of the greyhound Mary In Love, regarding the greyhounds racing manners at the start.  Mary In Love was vetted  following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to left and right hindlegs fibula, left hindleg groin and pelvic injuries, a seven day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the Stewards charged Mary In Love with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Farley pleaded guilty to the charge, Mary In Love was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards spoke to Ms S Gray, the trainer of Cobber Victorem, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Cobber Victorem last raced on 4 December 2017.  Ms Gray stated that the greyhound was resuming racing after a left stopper injury.

Stewards spoke to and reminded Mr Clint Arthur, the trainer of Archer's Will of his responsibilities regarding his failure to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve the greyhound for racing.

Kraken Bam Bam was slow to begin.  Ferno The Nando and Archer's Will collided soon after the start.  Cobber Victorem, Quando Quando and Aston Amore collided approaching the first turn.  Archer's Will and Weeona Pearl raced wide to the first turn.  Cobber Victorem and Aston Amore collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn.  Ferno The Nando, Archer's Will and Weeona Pearl collided on the first turn.  Kraken Bam Bam, Cobber Victorem and Aston Amore collided approaching the home turn.  Kraken Bam Bam galloped on the heels of Cobber Victorem on the home turn, severely checking Cobber Victorem.  Ferno The Nando and Weeona Pearl collided on the home turn.  Weeona Pearl and Archer's Will collided entering the home straight.

Cobber Victorem was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained abrasions to the right hock.  No stand down period was imposed.

Oleg and Jaimandy Maureen were slow to begin and collided soon after the start.  Air Commander and Flash Apollo collided soon after the start.  Zanzeedoo, Charlie Haze and Flash Apollo collided approaching the second turn.  Air Commander, Charlie Haze and Flash Apollo collided on the second turn, checking Charlie Haze.  Flash Intention and Cordillo collided on the third turn, checking Cordillo.  Cordillo and Flash Apollo collided approaching the home turn.

Stewards spoke to Mr Benjamin Abela, trainer of Liscoyle Lass, regarding the greyhound's performance in this event.  Mr Abela stated that the greyhound had been trialling well, but was racing in a higher grade today and in his opinion the greyhound lost momentum after being checked.  Stewards accepted Mr Abela's explanation and no further action was taken.

Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr Alan Bayliss after the greyhound Good Luck Mick was placed in the incorrect kennel during the kennelling process.  Mr Bayliss was issued with a warning and reminded when kennelling he ensures greyhounds are kennelled in accordance with kennel procedure.

Lady Ceecee and Pepper Shiraz were slow to begin.  Dutch Legacy, Lady Bullseye and Nareen collided approaching the first turn.  Nareen, Lady Bullseye and Dutch Legacy collided on the first turn, checking Lady Ceecee and Lady Bullseye.  Good Luck Mick and Nareen collided approaching the second turn, checking Nareen which collided with Lady Ceecee.
