Bigtime Bruce checked off Kouta And Cream approaching the first turn.  Bigtime Bruce contacted the running rail on the first turn severely checking Farfalla Nera and Regal Memphis, both greyhounds raced wide as a result.  Pacific Action checked off Kouta And Cream on the first turn.  Pacific Action and Liberty Diamond collided on the home turn.

Totally Fab was quick to begin.

Totally Fab, Zoe The Pest and Adam Mandam collided approaching the first turn checking Zoe The Pest.  Cherokee Shimmer eased approaching the first turn checking Doused In Mud, Totally Fab, Zoe The Pest and severely checking Dynamo Jezz and Adam Mandam, Adam Mandam hit the running rail and subsequently tailed off.  Zippy Lynet and Dynamic Rainbow collided on the first turn.  Totally Fab and Doused In Mud collided on the second turn.  Zoe The Pest and Zippy Lynet collided on the third turn checking Zoe The Pest.

Adam Mandam was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left calf injury and an abrasion to the left Achilles, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr D. Crawford, the trainer of the greyhound Cherokee Shimmer regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the first turn.  Cherokee Shimmer was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the left medial hock, a 3 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Cherokee Shimmer with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Crawford pleaded guilty to the charge, Cherokee Shimmer was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Big Bubbles was quick to begin.

Thunder Of Night checked off Big Bubbles on the first turn checking Shot To Glory and Mustang Sammy.  Mustang Sammy raced wide on the home turn.  Thunder Of Night and Shot To Glory collided on the home turn.

Adam Handler was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left thigh injury, a 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. C. Elliot, the Trainer of Shirley Bass regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Shirley Bass last raced on 7 November 2017 and is returning after a right wrist injury.

Mrs L. Lyons, trainer of Tom's Gift declared a new weight of 37.9kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Tom's Gift last raced at 36.8kgs.

Fiesty Ivy was quick to begin.  Tom's Gift and Billy Bart were slow to begin.

Pacific Dreamer, Beluga Diamond and Really Magic collided approaching the first turn.  Where's Marcia checked off Fiesty Ivy on the first turn.  Tom's Gift and Pacific Dreamer collided on the first turn causing Tom's Gift to gallop on Pacific Dreamer checking Tom's Gift.  Billy Bart galloped on Pacific Dreamer on the home turn checking Pacific Dreamer.  Pacific Dreamer and Billy Bart collided several times in the home straight.

Out of Competition Samples were taken from Legal and Just Blacky engaged in this event on 13 March 2018, pursuant to GAR 79A.

Tinderella was quick to begin.  Buckle Up Scotch and Roland View were slow to begin.

Crash Reality checked off Legal approaching the first turn.  Senni Richard galloped on Tinderella on the first turn checking Crash Reality, Roland View, Senni Richard, Just Blacky, In Dee Genes and severely checking Tinderella causing Legal to falter and subsequently pull up.  Just Blacky and Senni Richard collided entering the home straight severely checking Senni Richard and Crash Reality, Senni Richard stumbled and lost considerable ground.

Legal was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right radius/ulna fracture, a 90 day stand down period was imposed.

Senni Richard was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left monkey muscle injury and an abrasion to the right hind foot, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Tinderella was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained abrasions to the left and rigth hind feet, a 3 day stand down period was impsosed.

MEETING COMMENTS:

Satisfactory Trial Results - Chinookan Blue trialled over the 311mtrs from box 1, weight 30.0kgs, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 17.72, the greyhound won by a margin of 4 1/2 lengths. Chinookan Blue was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr P. Trim, the representative of Paws And Go regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Paws And Go last raced on 6 July 2017, Mr Trim stated that te greyhound was returning from a grass seed removal.  Pursuant to GAR 77A, Paws And Go trialled over the 311mtrs from box 8, weight 37.2kgs, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 17.72, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 4 1/2 lengths. Paws And Go was Cleared.
