Starbright Toby and Shae Magnifique were slow to begin.  Acer and Go Maxi collided soon after the start.  Merl's Michu and Vitaliser collided soon after the start.  Merl's Michu crossed to the outside at the 300m mark.  It's Fresh and Shae Magnifique collided at the 275m mark.  Acer and Go Maxi collided at the 150m mark.  Starbright Toby and Red Queen collided at the 100m mark and again approaching the winning post.

Stewards spoke to Mr P Martinovic, the trainer of Orlando Cruise, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Orlando Cruise last raced at Warragul on 7 December, 2017.  Mr Martinovic stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a spelling period.

Lilrigg, Springinator and Shakey Cougar were slow to begin.  Springinator and Anita's Girl collided at the 200m mark.  Lilrigg and Shakey Cougar collided at the 150m mark, causing Shakey Cougar to contact the running rail as a result.  Lilrigg and Shakey Cougar collided at the 100m mark.  

Stewards spoke to Ms S Warde on behalf of C Russell, trainer of Shakey Cougar regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the 150m mark.  After viewing the official video films, both patrol and head-on, Stewards took no action.

Stewards spoke to Ms M Campbell, the trainer of Downtown Babe, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Downtown Babe last raced at Warragul on 26 September, 2017.  Ms Campbell stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following an injury to the right metatarcil.

Banjo's Affair was very slow to begin (2 lengths) and crossed to the outside soon after the start.  White Diamond, Downtown Babe and Xan Mai collided soon after the start.  Miss Legality and Downtown Babe collided at the 250m mark.  Downtown Babe checked off Miss Legality at the 200m mark.  Xan Mai checked off White Diamond at the 150m mark.  White Diamond, Big Bubbles and Air Load collided at the 100m mark.  Xan Mai and Big Bubbles collided approaching the winning post.

A pre-race sample was taken from Dontron upon arrival at the course prior to kennelling.

Burn Like Fire was slow to begin.  Bambalam Tilly and Ice Buster collided soon after the start.  Challis Magic crossed to the outside soon after the start and collided with Cosmic Sole and Destini Florida, checking Cosmic Sole and Allen Quintus as a result.  Challis Magic and Mousey McCoy collided at the 250m mark.  Allen Quintus and Cosmic Sole collided approaching the 200m mark.  Cosmic Sole checked off Allen Quintus at the 200m mark.  Burn Like Fire, Challis Magic and Mousey McCoy collided at the 200m mark.  Challis Magic and Mousey McCoy collided approaching the 150m mark.  Bambalam Tilly checked off Destini Florida at the 150m mark, checking Bambalam Tilly.  Challis Magic checked off Mousey McCoy at the 150m mark.

Meeting Comments:

Satisfactory Trial Results - All You Got trialled over the 300m from box 1, weight 24.3kgs, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 17.00, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 3 1/2 lengths. All You Got was cleared.

Stewards opened an Inquiry in relation to an incident which occurred in the stir-up area subsequent to the running of Event 9 between licensed persons - Mr Jason Reddoch and Ms Kathleen Newport.  After taking partial evidence from Mr Jason Reddoch and evidence from Ms Kathleen Newport and Healesville GA Official - Ms Rhonda Bau, Stewards adjourned the inquiry to a date and time to be fixed.
