Violet Sky eased on the first turn.  Brindle Delight raced wide on the first turn checking Brindle Delight and Canterbury, causing Canterbury to race wide.  Brindle Delight and Violet Sky collided on the second turn.  Still Quick crossed in checking Dee Final Siren approaching the third turn.  Violet Sky checked off Penny Rocks on the home turn.  Still Quick and Brindle Delight collided entering the home straight.  Violet Sky eased and checked Penny Rocks several times in the home straight to the winning post.

Violet Sky was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr I. Dann, the trainer of the greyhound Violet Sky regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn and in the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Violet Sky with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Dann pleaded guilty to the charge, Violet Sky was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Cranbourne and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Dyna Diedre and Big Tilly were very slow to begin (3 lengths).

Superior Martini crossed out soon after the start checking Holly's Affair.  Dyna Diedre raced wide approaching the first turn.  Voluptuous Ruby checked off Golden Gun on the first turn checking Avalon Sisco, Touch Of Silk, Dyna Diedre and severely checking Superior Martini which fell as a result, causing Dyna Diedre to check itself to aviod hitting the outside fence.  Voluptuous Ruby and Touch Of Silk collided on the home turn.  Touch Of Silk raced wide in the home straight.

Superior Martini was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left back muscle injury, abrasions to the right hind foot and left hock, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Sale Graze Bindi and Gaza's Rooster were slow to begin.  Why Not Kylie, Alta Linea, Zoe The Pest, HighTenacity, Gaza's Rooster and Velocity Alaina collided soon after the start checking High Tenacity.  High Tenacity raced wide on the first turn.  Why Not Kylie crossed out approaching the second turn checking Why Not Kylie and Gaza's Rooster.  High Tenacity and Why Not Kylie raced wide in the back straight.  Sale Graze Bindi, Zoe The Pest, Alta Linea and Gaza's Rooster collided in the back straight checking Alta Linea.  Alta Linea checked off Zoe The Pest entering the home straight checking Alta Linea causing Alta Linea to stumble.

Stewards spoke to Mr. David Knocker, the representative of Zizou De Kahn regarding the greyhounds impoved performance in the event. Mr. Knocker explained that the greyhound is racing at a more suitable weight and it is the second start for the kennel. Stewards noted Mr. Knocker’s explanation and ordered a sample be taken taken from the greyhound.

A race day Sample was taken from Seminole Wind engaged in this event this morning at home kennels pursuant to GAR 79A.

Stewards spoke to Mrs S. Trim, the trainer of Beluga Diamond regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Beluga Diamond last raced on 15 November 2017. Mrs Trim stated that the greyhound was returning from a left dislocated toe. Mrs Trim also declared a new weight of 29.3kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Beluga Diamond last raced at 28.2kgs.

Stewards spoke to Mr R. Clarke, the trainer of Meteor Thunder regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Meteor Thunder last raced on 16 November 2017.Mr Clark stated that the greyhound was returning from a spell. Mr Clark also declared a new weight of 32.6kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Meteor Thunder last raced at 31.3kgs.

Stewards spoke to Mr I. Dann, the trainer of Really Magic regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Really Magic last raced on 7 November 2017. Mr Dann stated that the greyhound was returning from a seasonal spell.

Meteor Thunder, Storm Search, Thunder Of Sky and Let's Run collided approaching the first turn checking Meteor Thunder, Thunder Of Sky and severely checking Storm Search and Let's Run.  Buckle Up Scotch and Thunder Of Sky collided approaching the first turn checking Thunder Of Sky.

Let's Run was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right sesamoid and brusing to the right lateral side below elbow, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Trov's Gem was a late scratching at 9.14am due to the greyhound being on season (GAR 24). A 28 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Ms Deborah White's explanation for the late scratching of Trov's Gem was noted by Stewards.

Pop Do It was slow to begin.

Stately Kay and Sonny's Honey collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds.  Pop Do It and Adala Boy collided on the first turn checking Pop Do It, Stately Kay and Sonny's Honey.  Adala Boy checked off In Dee Genes approaching the home turn checking Adala Boy and Spazzy Blue causing Adala Boy and Spazzy Blue to race wide as a result.

Satisfactory Trial (returning from retirement) - Coby Ago Ago trialled over the 311mtrs from box 1, weight 30.1kgs, the greyhound was placed 6th in a field of 6. The time of the trial was 18.11, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 23.5 lengths. Coby Ago Ago was Not Cleared. 

Satisfactory Trial (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Dean Jeffries, the trainer of Donna O'Muffin regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Donna O'Muffin last raced on 7 August 2017 and is returning after a change of Trainer. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Donna O'Muffin trialled over the 311mtrs from box 2, weight 25.9kgs, the greyhound was placed 5th in a field of 6. The time of the trial was 18.11, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 9.1/4 lengths. Donna O'Muffin was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results -Notorious King trialled over the 311mtrs from box 3, weight 30.2kgs, the greyhound was placed 3rdin a field of 6. The time of the trial was 18.11, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 5 ¾ lengths. Notorious King was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Royal Bruno trialled over the 311mtrs from box 4, weight 32.6kgs, the greyhound was placed 1stin a field of 6. The time of the trial was 18.11, the greyhound won by a margin of 5 ¼ lengths. Royal Bruno was Cleared.

Borschmann, the trainer of He's Worthy regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. He's Worthy last raced on 13 April 2016 has been racing coursing. Mr Thomas stated that the greyhound was returning from a left tendon injury Pursuant to GAR 77A, He's Worthy trialled over the 311mtrs from box 5, weight 29.5kgs, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 6. The time of the trial was 18.11, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 5 ¼ lengths. He's Worthy was Cleared.
