Steward's Report
Jagger Circuit and Penny Rocks were slow to begin.
Violet Sky eased on the first turn. Brindle Delight raced wide on the first turn checking Brindle Delight and Canterbury, causing Canterbury to race wide. Brindle Delight and Violet Sky collided on the second turn. Still Quick crossed in checking Dee Final Siren approaching the third turn. Violet Sky checked off Penny Rocks on the home turn. Still Quick and Brindle Delight collided entering the home straight. Violet Sky eased and checked Penny Rocks several times in the home straight to the winning post.
Violet Sky was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mr I. Dann, the trainer of the greyhound Violet Sky regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn and in the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Violet Sky with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Dann pleaded guilty to the charge, Violet Sky was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Cranbourne and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
