Steward's Report
Mahi Indian was quick to begin. Jebreco Surprise was slow to begin. Bolta Neveelk and Jebreco Surprise collided soon after the start. Blue Magoo, Give Away King and Bolta Neveelk collided on the first turn checking Psychedelic Jay and Chill Out Julie. Blue Magoo and Give Away King collided entering the front straight. Give Away King and Bolta Neveelk collided in the front straight. Give Away King eased approaching the second turn and lost ground. Bolta Neveelk and Jebreco Surprise collided on the second turn. Give Away King clipped the heels of Chill Out Juilie approaching the home turn. Jebreco Surprise and Vis Vitae collided in the home straight.
Give Away King was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no injury apparent. Trainer Mr. S. Spoljaric declined his option to have the greyhound re-vetted.
Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Spoljaric the trainer of the greyhound Give Away King regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the second turn. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) Stewards charged Give Away King with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Spoljaric pleaded not guilty to the charge, Give Away King was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Traralgon and it was directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
