Traveller and Honeysuckle Jim were slow to begin.  Aston Abbott, Cosa Bona and Rosie Glenda collided soon after the start checking Cosa Bona.  Honeysuckle Jim was checked off Miriam's Wish soon after the start.  Cosa Bona and Rosie Glenda collided approaching the first turn.  Rosie Glenda and Traveller collided on the first turn checking Rosie Glenda.  Miriam's Wish crossed to the rail on the first turn and collided with Aston Abbot.  Honeysuckle Jim crossed to the rail on the first turn.  Joyous Jill, Cosa Bona, Traveller and Jetyra Buckskin collided on the first turn severely checking Cosa Bona and Traveller, Jetyra Buckskin fell as a result.  Aston Abbott and Miriam's Wish collided approaching the third turn.

Mahi Indian was quick to begin.  Jebreco Surprise was slow to begin.  Bolta Neveelk and Jebreco Surprise collided soon after the start.  Blue Magoo, Give Away King and Bolta Neveelk collided on the first turn checking Psychedelic Jay and Chill Out Julie.  Blue Magoo and Give Away King collided entering the front straight.  Give Away King and Bolta Neveelk collided in the front straight.  Give Away King eased approaching the second turn and lost ground.  Bolta Neveelk and Jebreco Surprise collided on the second turn.  Give Away King clipped the heels of Chill Out Juilie approaching the home turn.  Jebreco Surprise and Vis Vitae collided in the home straight.

Give Away King was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no injury apparent.  Trainer Mr. S. Spoljaric declined his option to have the greyhound re-vetted.

Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Spoljaric the trainer of the greyhound Give Away King regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the second turn.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) Stewards charged Give Away King with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mr. Spoljaric pleaded not guilty to the charge, Give Away King was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Traralgon and it was directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Brandeen Bayley was quick to begin.  Dr. Gammiris was slow to begin.  Mallee Spring was checked off Wild Angel on the first turn checking Dr. Gammiris.  Oozing Mojo and Lucas Rose collided entering the back straight checking Oozing Mojo and Galloping Leo.  Dr. Gammiris and Oozing Mojo collided on the second turn checking Oozing Mojo.  Mallee Spring was checked off Lucas Rose approaching the home turn checking Lucas Rose.  Dr. Gammiris galloped on Lucas Rose on the home turn.  Mallee Spring and Lucas Rose collided entering the home straight.

Flash Apollo and Our Delta Rose collided soon after the start.  Total Diva and Light The Track collided on the first turn.  Tiza Fabio was checked off Detroit Wally on the first turn checking Emilia Mel.  Light The Track and Total Diva collided on the first turn.  Total Diva and Tiza Fabio collided approaching the second turn checking Total Diva.  Sports Knight galloped on Emilia Mel on the second turn causing Sports Knight to race wide checking Total Diva and Tiza Fabio.  Total Diva raced wide in the home straight.

Forever Merry was a late scratching at 6.46pm due to the greyhound being on season (GAR 24).  A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Scott-Smith the trainer of Dundee Calypso regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Dundee Calypso last raced on 29/09/17.  Mr. Scott-Smith stated the greyhound was returning to racing following a seasonal spell.

Dundee Calypso and Doused In Mud collided on the first turn.  Miss Dee Meadows clipped the heels of Alannah's Gem on the third turn checking Miss Dee Meadows.  Aston Grace and Zero Whispers collided approaching the home turn.  Dundee Calypso was checked off Aston Grace on the home turn checking Doused In Mud.

Scott-Smith the trainer of the greyhound American Hustle regarding the greyhound's racing manners entering the home straight.  Acting under GAR 69(1) Stewards charged American Hustle with marring.  Mr. Scott-Smith pleaded guilty to the charge, American Hustle was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Traralgon and it was directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Classy Gun was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right back muscle and left monkey muscle, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.
