An Out of Competition Sample was taken from Water Colour engaged in this event on 9 February 2018 pursuant to GAR 79A.
Stewards spoke to Mr Peter Riley, the representative of West On Jill, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. West On Jill last raced on 28 October 2017 and is returning after a seasonal spell.
Danger Bale, Tears I'm Not and Dyna Kushida collided soon after the start, checking Danger Bale and Tears I'm Not. Danger Bale faltered on the first turn, raced wide and tailed off. Myrniong Cosmo and Dyna Kushida collided on the first turn. Tears I'm Not and Water Colour raced wide approaching the second turn. Myrniong Cosmo and Dyna Kushida collided entering the back straight, checking Dyna Kushida. Myrniong Cosmo, Tears I'm Not and Dyna Kushida collided on the third turn, checking Dyna Kushida. Myrniong Cosmo and Tears I'm Not collided entering the home straight, checking Tears I'm Not.
