Steward's Report
Limburg Patrick and Stevie Jane were slow to begin.
Rowchester Miss and Dyna Zeni collided soon after the start. Dyna Alia, Rowchester Miss and Dyna Zeni collided approaching the first turn. Dyna Alia, Rowchester Miss, Dyna Zeni, Dyna Quail and Dyna Francine collided on the first turn, checking Dyna Quail, severely checking Dyna Zeni and Limburg Patrick, and causing Rowchester Miss to fall. Dyna Quail and Dyna Francine collided in the back straight. Dyna Quail marred the running of Dyna Francine on the home turn and in the home straight. Dyna Quire turned its head in the home straight.
Rowchester Miss was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left shoulder muscle. A five-day stand down period was imposed.
Limburg Patrick was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the right hock. A three-day stand down period was imposed.
Dyna Quail was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left shoulder muscle, a spike wound to the left stifle and abrasions to the left hock. A five-day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr Jake Loverso, the kennel representative for the greyhound Dyna Quail, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the home turn and in the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Dyna Quail with marring. Mr Loverso pleaded guilty to the charge, Dyna Quail was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at The Meadows and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
Stewards spoke to Mr Jake Loverso, the kennel representative for the greyhound Dyna Quire, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight. Dyna Quire was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a carpal sprain of the right wrist, and an injury to the left shoulder muscle, a 14-day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Dyna Quire with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Loverso pleaded guilty to the charge, Dyna Quire was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
