A pre-race sample was taken from Limburg Gunna.
Real Obsession and Gehring Bale were slow to begin.
Noosa Parade, Crackerjack Roy and Limburg Gunna collided soon after the start. Our Flying Laura, Kid Ringo and Idabelle Bale collided approaching the first turn. Limburg Gunna and Crackerjack Roy collided on the first turn, checking Noosa Parade. Real Obsession checked off Limburg Gunna approaching the second turn, shifted in and contacted the running rail. Idabelle Bale checked off Limburg Gunna approaching the home turn.
Real Obsession was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained bruising to the left hock and a spike wound to the left hind foot. A three-day stand down period was imposed.
