Mrs. L. Randall, trainer of Flying Mozzie declared a new weight of 30.3 kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Flying Mozzie last raced at 31.6 kgs.

Zipping Todd and Flying Mozzie were quick to begin.  Old Sandy Pub was slow to begin. Catcha Nugget's teeth became lodged in its muzzle soon after the start and remained lodged throughout the event.  Doble Estandar, Waltz On Bye and Sandtrack Sniper collided soon after the start checking Waltz On Bye.  Good One Carl and Flying Mozzie collided soon after the start checking Good One Carl.  Zipping Todd and Flying Mozzie collided on the first turn checking Flying Mozzie.  Sandtrack Sniper and Good One Carl collided on the first turn checking Doble Estandar and Sandtrack Sniper.  Zipping Todd and Catcha Nugget collided approaching the home turn checking Zipping Todd, Waltz On Bye and Good One Carl.  Doble Estandar eased in the home straight and collided with Old Sandy Pub checking Old Sandy Pub.  Waltz On Bye and Catcha Nugget collided in the home straight checking both greyhounds.  Zipping Todd raced wide in the home straight.

Doble Estandar was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.  Mr. S. Healey, the representative of the greyhound declined the option to have the greyhound re- vetted.

Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Healey, the represenative of the greyhound Doble Estandar regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Doble Estandar with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mr. Healey pleaded not guilty to the charge,  Doble Estandar was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sale and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfctory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Cash Infusion was quick to begin.  Undercover Viv checked off Sapphire Hawke soon after the start.  Cash Infusion, You Never Know and Full Tilt collided on the first turn severely checking You Never know and Full Tilt.  Cash Infusion, Undercover Viv and Sapphire Hawke collided approaching the home turn checking all three greyhounds.  Urban Shiraz and You Never Know collided approaching the home turn checking You Never Know.  Urban Shiraz raced wide in the home straight.

Jimmy Vella was slow to begin.  Lakeview Lyn, Sooky Jooky, Hurunui Jack and Jimmy Vella collided on the first turn severely checking Hurunui Jack.

Jebreco Surprise was slow to begin.  Beyond Galaxia, Destroyer, Sharp Diamond, Royal Intention and Detroit Wally collided soon after the start checking Beyond Galaxia, Destroyer and Detroit Wally.  Destroyer and Detroit Wally collided on the first turn.  Royal Intention checked off Azkaban on the second turn.  Brueghelino and Sharp Diamond collided entering the home straight.

Ms. K. Ryan, trainer of Caidan Marlo declared a new weight of 30.0 kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Caidan Marlo last raced at 28.6 kgs.

Caidan Marlo was quick to begin.  Sergeant Schultz was very slow to begin (4 lengths).  Pearson Pride checked off Margolis soon after the start causing Pearson Pride to stumble.  Pinky Tuscadero and Loaded collided approaching the first turn checking Loaded.  Loaded and Pearson Pride collided on the first turn checking Pearson Pride.  Caidan Marlo and Champagne Papi collided on the first turn checking Caidan Marlo and Our Echo Rose.  Sergeant Schultz and Pearson Pride raced wide in the home straight.

Pearson Pride was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a laceration to the left dorsal paw, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
