Tat Odin and Snapchat Queen collided soon after the start severely checking Snapchat Queen which fell. Belena Bold, Tat Odin and Dead Eye Dickson collided approaching the first turn checking Tat Odin. Belena Bold, Dead Eye Dickson and Gone Rusty collided on the first turn checking Dead Eye Dickson and Gone Rusty. Tat Odin checked off Dead Eye Dickson approaching the home turn. Blue Odessa and Seabrook Dill collided in the home straight. Blue Odessa eased approaching the winning post.

Snapchat Queen was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Blue Odessa was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained left shin soreness. A stand down period of 10 days was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. B. Hall, the trainer of the greyhound Blue Odessa regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Blue Odessa with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Hall pleaded guilty to the charge, Blue Odessa was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
