Blue Hazard and Arnie Allen collided several times approaching the first turn. Darren Allen and Ivalise Allen collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn, checking Darren Allen, Ivalise Allen and Arnie Allen. Ivalise Allen checked off Arnie Allen entering the back straight, checking Arnie Allen. Blue Hazard and Black Zambesi collided entering the back straight, checking Black Zambesi. Limburg Will galloped on Limburg Patrick on the third turn, severely checking both greyhounds.

Black Zambesi was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained no apparent injury.

Ivalise Allen was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right deltoid muscle. A five-day stand down period was imposed.

A sample was taken from Ita Louisa, the winner of the event.

Bro's Little Gem  was a late scratching at 6.15pm on 21 April 2018 due to a left front toe laceration (GAR 23). A ten-day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

Deflection checked off Bejarno on the first turn. Ayo Joy checked off Liberty Tron in the front straight. Tempered checked off Ayo Joy on the second turn and collided with Bejarno. Carlanna Casey and Tempered collided on the third turn, checking Tempered.

Axel's A Rebel and Inga Red were slow to begin.

Superior Faith and Buddy Blinx collided approaching the first turn, checking Superior Faith and Axel's A Rebel. Axel's A Rebel crossed to the outside on the first turn and checked off Strycova, Axel's A Rebel raced wide throughout the remainder of the event. Buddy Blinx and Creative Playboy collided on the first turn. Buddy Blinx, Creative Playboy and Zipping Nancy collided approaching the second turn, checking Buddy Blinx.

Axel's A Rebel was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained no apparent injury. Trainer Simon Payne explained to  Stewards that Axel's A Rebel was having its first start at the track and distance and he further stated in his opinion the greyhound is a wide runner.

Lil Miss Earner and Cersei were quick to begin. Wise Rosberg and Ollie Buck were slow to begin.

Cersei and Boomer Blitz collided approaching the second turn. Wise Rosberg, Cersei and Boomer Blitz collided on the second turn, checking Cersei. Lil Miss Earner checked off Ninety Proof entering the home straight.

Pursuant to GAR 104 (7), steward Ms Demi Barber did not act in any official capacity for this event.

Mr John Bosnich, trainer of Give Away King, declared a new weight of 32.8kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Give Away King last raced at 31.4kg.

Last Princess was very slow to begin (1L).

Molly Chapta and Give Away King collided soon after the start. My Lady Limonite and Magenta Gold collided soon after the start. Last Princess checked off Molly Chapta approaching the first turn. Go Seek Fernando crossed to the inside approaching the first turn severely checking Yogi Mikado, Last Princess, Dr. Kestrel, Go Seek Fernando, My Lady Limonite and Magenta Gold causing Yogi Mikado and Dr. Kestrel to fall heavily as a result. Go Seek Fernando and Give Away King collided on the first turn.  My Lady Limonite checked off Molly Chapta on the second turn. Last Princess and My Lady Limonite collided in the back straight. Magenta Gold checked off My Lady Limonite approaching the home turn. Magenta Gold and My Lady Limonite collided several time son the home turn, causing My Lady Limonite to lose ground as a result.

Yogi Mikado was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left deltoid and right pectoral (chest) muscles. A ten-day stand down period was imposed.

Dr. Kestrel was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a carpal spraint to the right wrist, and injuries to the left deltoid muscle and left front leg below the elbow. A 14-day stand down period was imposed.

My Lady Limonite was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to both deltoid muscles. A seven-day stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Khaleesi Girl.

Khaleesi Girl was quick to begin. Lucky Millie and So Amazing were slow to begin.

Bumble Bee Bolto, King Colt and Ready And Armed collided approaching the first turn. King Colt raced wide on the first turn, checking Myrniong Cosmo, Lucky Millie and So Amazing. King Colt clipped the heels of Lucky Millie entering the back straight, checking both greyhounds; King Colt stumbled as a result. Myrniong Cosmo and So Amazing collided on the third turn. Trianna and Ready And Armed collided on the home turn.

Night King was a late scratching at 11.02am due to injury to the left back muscle (GAR 23). A ten-day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

Dee Dee Kay, Dundee Calypso, Iris Allen and Zipping Monty collided on the first turn, checking Dundee Calypso and Iris Allen. Iris Allen, Tiny Dreamer and OK Jake collided entering the front straight, checking all three greyhounds. Zipping Monty checked off Brick Lane in the first turn. Iris Allen eased approaching the home turn, checking Dee Dee Kay and OK Jake.

Stewards spoke to Mr Steven Menegazzo, the kennel representative for the greyhound Iris Allen, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the home turn. Iris Allen was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to both left and right deltoid and trapezius muscles, a ten-day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Iris Allen with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Menegazzo pleaded guilty to the charge, Iris Allen was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
