Stewards spoke to Ms Chloe Allan, the trainer of Emerley Mee Too regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Emerley Mee Too last raced on 2 January, 2018 and is returning to racing following a change of kennel. 

The start of this race was delayed by approximately 3 minutes due to delays in the kennelling area.

Shadow Walker stumbled at box rise.  Shadow Walker and Emerley Mee Too collided soon after the start.  Beast checked off Mickie Raven approaching the 250m mark.  Mickie Raven checked off Sunlit Breaker at the 250m mark.  Shadow Walker and Emerley Mee Too collided approaching the 150m mark.  Shadow Walker, Sunlit Breaker and Avalon Sisco collided at the 150m mark, checking all three greyhounds.  Mickie Raven checked off Sunlit Breaker approaching the 100m mark.  Azure Dragon crossed to the outside approaching the 50m mark, checking Mickie Raven and Sunlit Breaker.  Emerley Mee Too crossed to the rail approaching the 50m mark, checking Shadow Walker.  Emerley Mee Too and Lanis Morris collided approaching the winning post checking Emerley Me Too. Azure Dragon checked off Emerley Mee Too approaching the winning post, checking both greyhounds.

Elke's Osti and Soeztoc collided soon after the start.  Dynamite Danger and Elke's Osti collided soon after the start.  Ruby Gas and Soezroc collided at the 200m mark.  Subconscious and Dynamite Danger collided at the 150m mark.

Stewards issued a warning to Mr Andrew Paraskevas, the handler of Ruby Gas after he failed to arrive at the kennels by the appointed time to prepare the greyhound for this event (GAR 48).

Brakae was slow to begin.  Outta My Depth and Sky Flix collided at the 300m mark.  Major Style and Brakae collided at the 250m mark.

Bear Left was slow to begin.  Miss Booming crossed to the rail soon after the start and collided with Unusable, Monster Jam Jack and Mini Tron.  Nunnion Miss crossed to the rail at the 250m mark checking Goodnight Irene, causing Goodnight Irene to collide with Miss Booming as a result.  Goodnight Irene and Unusable collided at the 200m mark.  Goodnight Irene, Unusable and Mini Tron collided approaching the winning post, checking Unusable which stumbled as a result and subsequently fell.

Unusable was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following race 9, it was reported that the greyhound sustained bruising to the left hip area, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr Robin Moore, the trainer of Price Tag regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Price Tag last raced on 15 January, 2018 and is returning to racing following an injured right back muscle. 

Bugs Boloney, Tzar Norma and Big Deal collided soon after the start.  Mon Mekki Kahn checked off Air Load approaching the 300m mark.  Bugs Boloney and Big Deal collided approaching the 300m mark, checking Tzar Norma.  AIr Load and Bullocky Bill collided approaching the 250m mark, checking Bullocky Bill.  Mon Mekki Kahn checked off Price Tag approaching the 200m mark.

Enchanting Image and Good Odds Ava were slow to begin.  Pergamon and My Cousin Jim collided soon after the start.  Tayla's Banjo and Nitro Nicole collided at the 275m mark, causing Tayla's Banjo to check off Nitro Nicole and collide with Pergamon.  Pergamon checked off White Diamond at the 200m mark and collide with Lilty Allen.  Tayla's Banjo and Nitro Nicole collided at the 100m mark.

Cullquin Bomber and Rosacky Thunder collided soon after the start.  Rosacky Thunder checked off Cullquin Bomber at the 300m mark, checking Bourbon An Kahn and Marlow's Express.

A sample was taken from Pat Me Again- the winner of the event.

Macreadie and Unexplainable collided soon after the start, causing Macreadie to stumble and lose ground as a result.  Trail Blazer and Ryder Sir collided soon after the start.  Macreadie crossed to the outside at the 250m mark.  Stacey Keeping checked off Unexplainable approaching the winning post.

Divino and Matomax collided soon after the start.  Springinator and My Fernando Tim raced wide throughout the event.

Uncatchable, Mepunga Dasha and Turfman collided soon after the start.  Turfman checked off Leave Me Out soon after the start.  Leave Me Out, Here's Tiger and Tub's Tiger collided approaching the 250m mark.  Turfman checked off Leave Me Out approaching the 200m mark.  Uncatchable checked off Turfman approaching the 150m mark, checking Turfman.  Turfman and Here's Tiger collided at the 150m mark.  Turfman checked off Tub's Tiger approaching the 100m mark and again approaching the winning post.

A pre race sample was taken from Mallard.

Bruree Jewel checked off Luna Evening soon after the start.  City Rambler and Scooby Boy collided at the 300m mark.  Ernie's Legacy eased approaching the winning post and collided with Yangtze.

Stewards spoke to Mr Scott James, the trainer of the greyhound Ernie's Legacy regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Ernie's Legacy was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right calf, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Ernie's Legacy with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr James pleaded not guilty to the charge, Ernie's Legacy was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a),  before any future nomination will be accepted.

MEETING COMMENTS:

Pursuant to GAR 27, Stewards issued a warning to Mr David Jensen, the handler of Superior Scotch after he failed to have the greyhound appropriately restrained prior to kennelling.
