Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Hone In.
Hone In, Princess Pout and Helicopter Harry collided soon after the start. My Mate Lenny and Rockstar Toovey collided on the first turn. Hone In, Princess Pout, Helicopter Harry and Ya Reckon collided on the first turn severely checking Ya Reckon and Helicopter Harry, Helicopter Harry subsequently pulled up. My Mate Lenny checked off Rockstar Toovey in the home straight.
Hone In was vetted following the event after the greyhound preformed below market expectations. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mrs K. Bravo, the representative of Hone In regarding the greyhounds performance. Mrs Bravo stated that after the greyhound missed the start and with the interference on the first turn the greyhound preformed accordingly, Mrs Bravo also stated that the greyhound was not a strong 500mtr dog and preforms better when able to lead.
Helicopter Harry was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a humerus fracture, a 90 day stand down period was imposed.
