Stewards spoke to Mr Craig Solkhon and issued a warning after he failed to arrive at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve and prepare the greyhound Wise Piquet for this event. GAR 46(1).

Soda King was slow to begin.

Junior Wizard and One Plus Two collided approaching the first turn severely checking Junior Wizard which lost ground.  Destini Ferrari and Junior Wizard collided on the first turn.  One Plus Two and Soda King collided on the first turn.  Orazzi Ohh and Soda King collided on the home turn.  Destini Ferrari and One Plus Two collided entering the home straight.  Orazzi Ohh and Soda King collided approaching the winning post.

A pre-race sample was taken from Aeroplane Tippa.

Wharfies Girl, Annasay and Bella's Ghost collided soon after the start.  Wharfies Girl and Bella's Ghost collided approaching the first turn.  Crackerjack Nath checked off Tiggerlong Zorro on the first turn checking Tiggerlong Zorro, Crackerjack Nath and Aeroplane Tippa.  Wharfies Girl and Bella's Ghost collided approaching the second turn checking Annasay.  Annasay checked off Wharfies Girl approaching the second turn checking Crackerjack Nath and Bella's Ghost.  Annasay and Bella's Ghost collided approaching the second turn.  Bella's Ghost and Crackerjack Nath collided on the second turn.  Dava Supreme checked off Baby Huey on the home turn and entering the home straight checking Dava Supreme.  Dava Supreme and Aeroplane Tippa collided several times in the home straight.

Zipping Nitro and Packey Keeping were slow to begin.

Packey Keeping checked off Jane's Intention soon after the start.  Zipping Nitro and Shae's Intention collided on the first turn.  Zipping Nitro and Hot Tip collided on the third turn.  Destroyer checked off Hot Tip approaching the fourth turn.  Shae's Intention and Packey Keeping collided entering the home straight.

Packing Keeping was vetted and re-vetted following event 9 after the greyhound preformed below market expectations.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left monkey muscle injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Go Go Guru was slow to begin.

Zipping Angus and Milky Jones collided soon after the start checking Zipping Angus.  Zipping Angus and Go Go Guru collided on the first turn.  Riviera Cruz checked off Cosmic Tilly approaching the second turn.  Crackerjack Blax and Dyna Harpa collided approaching the second turn.  No Excuse checked off Riviera Cruz approaching the second turn.  Zipping Angus checked off Go Go Guru on the second turn checking Zipping Angus.  Riviera Cruz and Crackerjack Blax collided entering the back straight.  Crackerjack Blax checked off Cosmic Tilly in the back straight.  Riviera Cruz, No Excuse and Go Go Guru collided in the back straight and again approaching the third turn.  Riviera Cruz and Go Go Guru collided on the third turn.

A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Riviera Cruz, a post-race sample was subsequently taken.

A pre-race sample was taken from Hone In.

Hone In, Princess Pout and Helicopter Harry collided soon after the start.  My Mate Lenny and Rockstar Toovey collided on the first turn.   Hone In, Princess Pout, Helicopter Harry and Ya Reckon collided on the first turn severely checking Ya Reckon and Helicopter Harry, Helicopter Harry subsequently pulled up.  My Mate Lenny checked off Rockstar Toovey in the home straight.

Hone In was vetted following the event after the greyhound preformed below market expectations.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. 

Stewards spoke to Mrs K. Bravo, the representative of Hone In regarding the greyhounds performance. Mrs Bravo stated that after the greyhound missed the start and with the interference on the first turn the greyhound preformed accordingly, Mrs Bravo also stated that the greyhound was not a strong 500mtr dog and preforms better when able to lead.

Helicopter Harry was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a humerus fracture, a 90 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr K. Hellmuth, the trainer of Rockoon regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Rockoon last raced on 24 November 2017 and is returning to racing from a right hock injury.

Dyna Gertie and Scott Keeping were slow to begin.

Out Of Range and Dyna Zesty collided approaching the first turn.  Rockoon checked off Out Of Range approaching the first turn.  Dyna Zesty and Poppy Pete collided on the first turn.  Rockoon checked off Dyna Gertie on the second turn.  Out Of Range and Dyna Zesty collided on the third turn.  Out Of Range checked off Dyna Zesty on the third turn.

Gehring Bale, Extreme Magic and Rapanui Reveller were slow to begin.

Mr Brad Greenough was fined the sum of $50 for failing to ensure the registration papers/registration card were produced for the greyhound Party Every Day pursuant to GAR 33.
